Ms. Christine

Preschool Program Teacher

Hello, my name is Christine Case, and I am a Preschool Program Teacher here at Building Blocks Preschool. I’ve been working at Building Blocks since the fall of 2022. I graduated from Washtenaw Community College with high honors in an associate degree in early childhood education. I have enjoyed working with various ages of children and many different learning styles. I enjoy building relationships with each child, guiding them to experience each day joyfully and pleasantly – learning from each other as we go through the year. I have a strong love for learning and involving nature as much as possible.

I am a lover of literature and try to light a fire for literacy in each child. It is exciting to find the right type of genre of book to get a child interested in reading. I enjoy meeting local children’s book authors and sharing their stories – in hopes that children in class would be interested in writing their own story one day.

I am excited to work at Building Blocks Preschool to be able to guide children in building skills to enjoy learning, building friendships, creating, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoor teachable classroom. It is exciting to see the ’hundred different’ languages each child gets to explore here.

On a personal note, I am married to Mark and live in Howell with our daughter Mary, two dogs, and a cat. I enjoyed homeschooling my 4 children (three are graduated and thriving in their careers-one more to go). I love working with expectant moms and babies as a Doula (birth, postpartum, and bereavement). I also love finding fun and unique places in Michigan to visit.
