2004-Joseph and Suzanne Gabli purchased building and changed the name to Building Blocks Preschool. Tracy Kelly stayed on as Director. Invested in technology by adding Procare and Computer system.

2005-Invested $30,000 Remodeling project. Started journey with monthly staff meetings and book study from NAEYC Working the Reggio Way, Julianne Wurm.

2005-Leadership and teachers attended Michigan AEYC in Grand Rapids

2005-Received $3,000 State of Michigan Equipment Grant

2006-Tracy Kelly, steps down as Director. Emily Senese is hired as new Director.

2007-Carol Williams parent presentation about Reggio Emilia, Italy and Reggio Inspired Early Childhood Education. Start attending Wayne State Seminar Series Workshop’s. Visit Wayne State’s Early Childhood Center.

2008-Goal-Make learning visible Portfolio documentation started. Nature walks to Highland State Recreation area started.

2009- Way forward. Pilot half day preschool program. Reduce capacity for infant and toddlers and flip classrooms. Goal- Implement “Soup” Team Atmosphere. Advancing Initiative of “Reggio Inspired”. Focus on our vision, the quality program we offer and Parent communication. 100 Languages and mediums. Promoting Parent, teacher and school relationships. A Strong Image of a Child. Working on Project based investigations. Staff Collaboration. Strong Traditional programming and quality preschool program. Visit the 100 Languages Exhibit in Ohio, attend Wayne State Trainings, visit Reggio Inspired schools. Improve parent awareness of what we are doing every day. In all classrooms with all children. PTO-Create a Non Profit. Grant writing and community programs to support our school. Strong Parent Teacher Organization committee. Green School. Fundraising efforts for Natural Playscape Playground.
